Foster collaboration, drive continuous learning, and create a dynamic learning environment.

PLCs don’t work when they…

Don’t have psychological safety

Don’t have high expectations

Build a Collaborative PLC Culture

It’s true among students and it’s true among adults - people do not necessarily know how to collaborate. It is a skill and it can be learned.

In this workshop, you will learn how to lead, communicate, and provide feedback in ways that foster collaboration, equity, and results among your PLC members.

Facilitative Leadership

In this workshop, you will learn and practice the skills and strategies of facilitative leadership, a mindset and approach that empowers PLCs to achieve their goals and overcome their challenges. You will discover how to:

Recapture the purpose of the PLC by revisiting the essential elements and benefits of collaborative learning, and identifying the common pitfalls and barriers that prevent PLCs from reaching their full potential.

Develop a facilitative leadership mindset by understanding the principles of adult learning, and how to design and deliver learner-focused professional development that engages and motivates your PLC members.

Communicate for equity, understanding, and results by using inclusive discussion models, effective question techniques, and structured protocols to facilitate productive and respectful conversations among your PLC members, and drive decisions and consensus with your teams.

Provide facilitative feedback methods by learning the difference between evaluation, advice, and feedback, and how to use various models and tools to give and receive constructive and actionable feedback that supports learning and improvement.
